Automate Stuff On the ConfigMgr Server Using Status Filter Rules

Sometimes you want to automate stuff on the ConfigMgr server. For instance when a Task Sequence for OSD completes successfully. One way to do this is to configure Status Filter Rules.

In order to make those rules dynamic one must use variables to find out what site it happened at or what client it was etc. I haven’t found this kind of information on the TechNet section for Configuration Manager 2012 however on 2007 there is a list for all available variables when choosing the action “Run a program” on the Status Filter Rule. One that is really good is %msgsys that translates to the computer name that reported the status message.

Take a look here for the complete reference.
