Error Code 5 when trying to use offline servicing of operating system image

A couple of days ago I saw an error at a customer site where they just installed ConfigMgr and tried to do an offline update of their Operating System Image. The process started successfully but when the image was to be mounted they got the error. After some troubleshooting we found that they had copied the WIM file from the installation media and the file, at the content source folder, was write protected using the NTFS flag “Read-Only”. After removing the flag on the source file, it worked flawlessly. We can only guess but the flag must have remained on the file after it was copied off the installation media.
